Join me for this informal evening workshop as we learn how to craft elegant Japanese stitched books using delicate rice papers and simple materials.
Inspired by some of my favorite books collected during journeys in Japan, we'll take our time to consider shape, colour palette and use, as we learn how to make concertina books and bind them using the Japanese stab-stitch technique.
Once you have been introduced to the fundamental techniques of this book, you'll be free to play; to make a variety of books from the materials provided, so that you can leave with a small, thoughtful collection for a variety of purposes.
A grazing platter and refreshments will be provided on the night, and all materials are supplied.
This workshop is suitable for all levels of artistic experience and is perfect for the beginner. Ages 15+

Workshop fees are non-refundable. If you are unable to make it to your workshop, your booking can be transferred to another person, however, it is the participant's responsibility to find a replacement. Unfortunately, swapping your place to another workshop is not possible, as once your ticket has been booked, a spot has been held for you in that particular session. Thank you for your understanding, as it is difficult to absorb these costs as a small business.
